Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the CURT T-Connect vehicle wiring harness with the four-pole flat trailer connector. Part number is C55124.Now this CURT four-pole flat wiring harness is going to work out really well for utility trailers, cargo carriers, basically anything that has the four-pole flat connection. This is going to provide ground, running light signal through the brown wire, left turn and brake signal through the yellow, and right turn and brake through our green wire. There's also a provided dust cap that you can see is attached there. It's going to go on, keep any dirt and debris from building up inside of maybe these holes and causing corrosion. I also think it's a pretty handy way to tuck it up and out of the way, keep it from dragging down the road behind you.Now the installation process is quick and simple. more

In the middle, we have a Tekonsha Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Pole Trailer Connector, part number 20119, and finally, off to the left, we have the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way and 4-Pole Connectors, part number C55774.Now, the biggest difference that we found between our three wiring harnesses that we have here today is the overall appearance that they have once they're on the vehicle. more

We have nice dust cover that'll help protect it from the elements when it's not in use. And that covers up our four pole connector, which gives us the basic lighting functions, which are required by law in order for us to safely and legally tow a trailer.We'll have our tail light and running light circuit, our left turn signal and brake light, and our right turn signal and brake light. And on each one of these circuits, we have a maximum power output of seven and a half amps, which is more than sufficient to tow a trailer with several incandescent light bulbs, or basically as many LED lights as we want, because LED lights do draw less power.What's great about this wiring harness is that it gets the job done for your basic towing needs, so you'll be safe and legal. It's a simple plug and play operation with no cutting or splicing required. Speaker 1: Today, in this 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for factory tow package vehicles with a seven blade four pole flat connector, part number C55774.Here's what a wiring looks like installed. As you'll notice, we have a seven-way connector here, and this will give us all the functions that we need in order to tow a trailer. We'll have turn signals, brake lights, running lights, a 12-volt charge line, reverse light output, which is useful if you're towing a boat trailer with a reverse lockout cylinoid. Now, it's going to provide us with taillights, turn signals, and brake lights to make sure that everybody behind us knows that we're towing a trailer and we can stay within the law.Something you're going to like about this wiring is the fact that it's going to have a built in dust cover that's not going to come off, so we don't have to worry about losing it. We can actually use it to not only protect our connector, but also attach it to our hitch so our wiring's not just going to be hanging down dangling. You're going to have an attached dust cap, and the extra wiring, again just put the extra back in the back of the hitch with a zip tie. If I need more for some reason I can always pull it off and zip tie what I don't need. Now with this dust cap being attached it also doubles as the hanger, so your wiring harness doesn't touch the ground. Now what we're going to do is we're going to remove these screws, and that's what we wanted access to. more

Today on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be a taking a look at and showing you how to install the Kirk T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four Pull Flat Trailer Connectors, part number C55124. This what our wiring harness looks like when it's installed. You see the dust cap is attached. Any extra wiring that I had, I just zip tied up to the back so if it needs to extended for any reason, you just cut the zip tie off, take it out to the length that you want, zip tie the rest of it up. When it's not in use, the cap doubles as a hanger so your cord doesn't drag the ground. This is what you're going to get in your kit. You're going to get your connector that's going to connect right into your driver's side tail light. Wiring that comes from the front, your four pull flat, your dust cap, you're going to get a self typing screw, and you're going to get some zip ties. What we're going to do is we're going to remove these screws, and that's what we wanted access to. more

Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Here we have the Curt, and that's going to be part number C55124, and over here we have the Tekonsha which is going to be part number 118416. Here's what our wiring harness is going to look like after we install it. It's going to give us a 4-pole flat, and it's going to live on the outside of our vehicle. That way it's going to be ready whenever we're ready to tow. Now let's take a closer look at our options. Both of our kits are going to provide us with all the required lighting to get us safely down the road with our trailer. The differences between the two is very minimal, so I think either kit's going to be a great choice. Now these kits are a little bit different than most other kits, we're only going to be using one connector at the back of our driver's side taillight. Now the way our harnesses are going to connect, they're going to use a T-connector that's going to plug into the back of our taillight, and we're going to have a ground that we're going to need to hook up on both kits. Now both of our kits are going to give us roughly about five feet of wire from our 4-pole to go from our driver's side taillight, all the way routing it down to our hitch. more

Today on our 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Tekonsha T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118416. It's going to give us a 4-pole trailer flat end and it is going to stay on the outside of the vehicle at all times. Now this is going to allow us to tow our trailer and safely have all the lights that are required by law, having our turn signals, clearance lights and brake lights. It comes with an included dust cap cover, which you can use to attach to your hitch so it's ready whenever you're ready to tow. Now let's show you how we get it installed. To begin our installation, we're going to come to our driver's side taillight and the two inner Phillips screws, we're going to be removing those. Now once we have those removed, we can pull our taillight out. Now if we come to the back of our connector here, we're going to see a small tab. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee- Video
Today on our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package with a 7-Way and 4-Pole Flat Connector, part number C55774. We have our 7-way adapter here. This will allow us to tow a multitude of different trailers, such as ones that have electric brakes, provided we have a brake controller installed inside of our Jeep. Over to our side, we have a separate 4-pole flat, which is what most standard small trailers use to control their lighting functions, including most rental trailers. What's nice about having this to the side of your 7-way, is you don't need to have an adapter in order just to tow a small trailer; you have the option for both right there, no adapters required, one less thing to worry about losing. What I really like about our Curt wiring harness that we have here compared to some of the options from some of the competitors out there, is that it's a complete package. We have the 7-way, we have our 4-way, we have a bracket to mount it to our vehicle, and it goes right into the vehicle's existing tow package wiring, no modifications to the vehicle required at all. Now, one thing I would like to point out, once you install this wiring, it probably won't work in most cases. You'll have to go to your local Jeep dealership and have the computer re-flashed inside the vehicle in order to enable the factory tow package. more

What I really like about this wiring harness compared to others on the market is that it's a quick and easy plug and play installation, no modifications at all are required to the vehicle in order for it to work. We have this nice black protective loom here which will help conceal our colored wires behind our fascia. It gives us a nice clean look. more

One thing that I really like about this wiring harness, is that it gives us all the functions that we're going to need. We have our 4-pole flat, but we also have 7-way, which gives us a charge line, a backup signal, in case we're towing a boat trailer that has a reverse lock-out solenoid on it, and we have backup lights on our trailer. We also have the ability to have trailer brakes, if we have a brake controller installed inside of our vehicle. It gives us them most versatility, compared to a lot of other connectors out there. Which, you're either only have a 7-way or you have a 4-way, sometimes you have a 5-way flat too. more

All right, here's what our wiring looks like installed. As you can see, we have this nice, black loom that wraps our wiring harness. This will help conceal the colored wires behind our vehicle nice and easily, gives us a nice, clean look. We have this dust cap, which is provided, which covers up our electrical connections to help keep dirt, debris, and moisture from entering, causing corrosion, a short, or making it difficult to insert your trailer wiring onto the plug. It also allows you to wrap it around your safety chain loop, so your wiring is readily accessible for when you need to hook up to your trailer. Now, this being a 5-pole flat, we have our basic lighting functions. Our brown wire will give us our taillight signal and our running light signal. more

Today on our 2015 Jeep Renegade, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is C56274. When you're ready to use your trailer, you pull up your cover, take your wire out. You're going to lay it over the sill plate here across the weather strip which is going to help hold it in place. Just make sure you stay away from the center where the latch is going to be. You just close your hatch over top of it, then you hitch it up to your trailer. more
